Taiwanese scrap prices edged up slightly during the week to $219 a ton, as market participants attributed this to higher domestic demand from certain regions of Taiwan.
That said, the general outlook for the market remains sluggish and under the influence of international scrap prices. Some market participants remain bearish, feeling that prices are likely to go lower.
