BEIJING (Scrap Register): China's steel mills raised their production in between the demand pick-up, as crude steel output increased 3.9 percent in September from a year ago, total output for the month was 68.17 million tons, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
China's total steel production increased a bit by 0.4 percent year-on-year to 603.78 million tons during the first nine months of this yearr. On a monthly basis China's daily crude steel output increased 2.7 percent in September.
Pig Iron production decreased 1.4 percent month on month to 59.32 million tons in September but increased 4.8 percent year on Year. China's finished steel production was 98.09 million tons during the same month, increased 0.2 percent and 3.6 percent month on month and year on year receptively.
