KIEW (Scrap Register): Ukraine ferronickel exports plunged by nearly 20% to 55,410 mt during the first eight months of this year, as compared to 68,850 mt exported a year ago.
According to state statistics service, revenues from exports of FeNi plummeted by 34.3% to $117.1 million from $178.1 million in January-August 2015.
Over January through August Ukraine exported 24,610 mt of ferronickel to Italy, up from 16,550 mt a year ago, and supplies to Finland increased to 9,140 mt from 600 mt exported in January-August 2015.
At the same time, exports to the Netherlands dropped to 17,230 mt from 30,970 mt, supplies to the UK dropped to 1,550 mt from 4,630 mt and deliveries to China plunged to 2,610 from 9,740 mt.
