NEW DELHI (Scrap Register): India containerized shredded scrap import average prices remained stable during the week ended October 14, while India's major plastic scrap prices on the Scrap Register Price Index showed a down trend.

According to the Steel Index, Indian containerized scrap import prices remained flat during the week at $230 a ton Nhava Sheva port.
Domestic steel markets have remained stable this week as buyers continued to purchase imported scrap on the back of positive sentiments globally, as well as the government announcing an extension of the minimum import price (MIP).
The major plastic scrap commodities down on Scrap Register Price Index during the week. The plastic scrap commodities like Acrylic, API, C.P.W, HD Blowing, HD Moulding (Colour), Hips(Baff), LLDP Blowing, PVC pest grade and PVC resin desi declined during the week.
