SHANGHAI (Scrap Register): Chinese crude steel has shot up by 10.27 percent year-on-year to 74.02 million tons during the month of July this year, according to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
According to NBS data, Chinese average daily production was 2.39 million tons over the month, down 2.18 per cent on a monthly basis.
China’s year-to-date crude steel production totaled 491.55 million tons, up 5.14 percent on a yearly basis, with average daily production at 2.32 million tons.
Production of crude steel at major steel mills tracked by China’s Iron&Steel Association was 57.23 million tons in July, up 10.31 per cent YoY, and its average daily production was 1.85 million tons, down 1.46 per cent on a monthly basis.
YTD production was 380.49 million tons, up 7.46 per cent on a yearly basis, with average daily production at 1.79 million tons.
