MUMBAI (Scrap Register): India’s major aluminium scrap commodities prices showed a flat trend on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Wednesday, while aluminium futures prices at India's Multi Commodity Exchange settled down.
India's major aluminium scrap commodities prices including aluminium accessories scrap, aluminium cable scrap , aluminium ingots, aluminium rod company, aluminium rod local, aluminium scrap 6063, aluminium scrap taint/tabor, aluminium sheet cutting, aluminium utensil scrap and aluminium wire scrap remained flat on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Wednesday.
The most active December aluminium contract on India’s Multi Commodity Exchange has down by 0.42 percent to Rs. 129.15 per kilogram on Wednesday from previous close 129.70 a kilogram. MCX aluminium prices touched an intra-day high of Rs. 129.85 per kilogram and an intra-day low of Rs. 128.40 a kilogram during Wednesday.
China’s primary aluminium production fell for a fifth consecutive month in November as the country’s winter restrictions on smelters pushed output to its lowest since February 2015.
The world’s top aluminium producer churned out 2.35 million tonnes of the metal last month, down 7.8 percent from 2.55 million tonnes in October and down 16.8 percent from a year ago, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
