Kimberly-Clark recycles safety eyewear

NEW YORK (Scrap Register): Kimberly-Clark Professional has expanded its RightCycle recycling program to include protective eyewear from nonhazardous industrial facilities, cleanrooms, and labs.

The company has added its Nemesis, Visio, Element, and Unispec safety eyewear brands to the program, which it launched in 2011 to recycle its nitrile gloves and single-use apparel.

The RightCycle program collects only specified Kimberly-Clark Professional products, which the company has tested to ensure they are fully recyclable within their recycling partners’ guidelines, it says.

The recyclers process the material into plastic pellets for producing new consumer goods.
