India Brass, Copper Scrap prices fall; Copper Futures gain
MUMBAI (Scrap Register): India’s major brass and copper scrap commodities prices fell on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Tuesday, while copper Futures prices at India’s Multi Commodity Exchange gained despite the dollar firmed slightly, while investors awaited the outcome of the latest round of US-China trade talks in Beijing.
India's major brass and copper scrap commodities prices including brass huny scrap, brass pales, brass pallu scrap, brass sheet cuttings, brass sheet scrap, brass shell 40mm, brass utensil scrap, acr copper coil 3/8, copper armature, copper cable scrap, copper heavy scrap, copper shell 40mm, copper utensil scrap, electrolytic copper strip 25mm, brass accessories, cc rod lme ++ and copper cathod lme ++ dropped on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Tuesday.
The most active February copper contract on India's Multi Commodity Exchange has climbed by 0.89 percent to Rs. 413.40 per kilogram on Tuesday from previous close of Rs. 409.75 per kilogram. Copper Futures at MCX touched an intra-day high of Rs. 414.35 per kilogram and an intra-day low of Rs. 408.55 per kilogram during Tuesday.
The United States and China will continue trade talks in Beijing for an unscheduled third day, U.S. officials said on Tuesday, amid signs of progress on issues including purchases of U.S. farm and energy commodities and increased access to China's markets.
