India Brass, Copper Scrap prices gain; Copper Futures slightly up
MUMBAI (Scrap Register): India’s major brass and copper scrap commodities prices gained on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Tuesday, tracking the up trend in copper Futures prices at India’s Multi Commodity Exchange as trade tensions between Washington and Beijing ease, although concerns over slowing factory activity in China limited gains.
India's major brass and copper scrap commodities prices including Brass Accessories, Brass huny Scrap, Copper heavy scrap, Copper Mixed scrap, Copper Pat, Copper Super D.Rod and Copper Wire Scrap advanced on the Scrap Register Price Index as on Tuesday.
The most active February copper contract on India's Multi Commodity Exchange has slightly up by 0.41 percent to Rs. 445.85 per kilogram on Tuesday from previous close of Rs. 444.05 per kilogram. Copper Futures at MCX touched an intra-day high of Rs. 447.50 per kilogram and an intra-day low of Rs. 444.20 per kilogram during Tuesday.
Senior U.S. and Chinese officials are poised to start another round of trade talks in Beijing next week to push for a deal to protect American intellectual property and avert a March 2 increase in U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods, two people familiar with the plans said on Tuesday.
