Longs tiptoe back into Gold market after holiday

NEW YORK (Scrap Register): Gold has ticked modestly higher at the start of the week as some traders re-establish bullish positions after a long Easter weekend, with the market quiet overall as London remains on holiday, said Afshin Nabavi, head of trading at trading house MKS SA.

Some traders liquidated positions ahead of the long Easter weekend, Nabavi said.

“Maybe people are putting their trades back on the books,” he added. He also reports some physical demand emerged in Far East trading hours.
