BEIJING (Scrap Register): China's crude steel production increased 12.7% from a year earlier to 85.03 million tonnes in April, according to latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
Crude Steel production during the first four months of 2019 recorded at 314.96 million tonnes, up 10.1% year-on-year.
Non-ferrous metals production in China recorded at 4.74 million tonnes in April, up 4.9% year-on-year.
Cumulative production of Non-ferrous metals during Jan-April was 18.64 million tonnes, rose 5.2% from the corresponding period last year.
