Peru Gold production declines 5.38% in April


LIMA (Scrap Register): Gold mines in Peru produced 10742.12 kilograms of gold in April, down 5.38% year-on-year, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM).

Gold production during the first four months of 2019 recorded at 42718.2 kilograms, down 4.42% from 44695.6 kilograms in the corresponding period last year.

The country's silver output also declined in April to 321254 kilograms, down 5.57% as compared to 340221 kilograms in the same month last year.

Cumulative production of silver during January to April of 2019 was 1,191,671 kilograms, declined 11.87% as compared to 1,352,106 kilograms in the corresponding period last year.
