China's Rare Earths exports fall 17% in August


BEIJING (Scrap Register): China exported 4,351.9 tonnes of rare earths in August, down 17% from a six-month high in July, according to latest data from the General Administration of Customs.

August shipments rose slightly by 0.86% when compared to the export of 4314.4 tonnes in the same month last year.

This brought exports in the first eight months of 2019 to 32,827.5 tonnes, with a year-over-year decline of 6.3%.
