Peru's Copper output to rise 27% by 2022: minister


LIMA (Scrap Register): Peru expects its copper production to grow 27% in the next three years by 2022, the country’s energy and mines minister Francisco Ismodes said, state news agency Andina reported.

According to the cabinet member, 50% of national copper production is located in the southern areas of Peru, explaining this figure will increase, as the portfolio's projects make progress.

Peru, the world’s second largest copper producer, has churned out 2.44 million tonnes of the red metal in 2018.
