USDOC finds dumping of imports of carbon and alloy Steel threaded rod from Taiwan
WASHINGTON (Scrap Register): The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC) has announced an affirmative final determination in the antidumping duty (AD) investigation of imports of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from Taiwan, finding that exporters from this country have dumped carbon and alloy steel threaded rod in the United States at a margin of 32.26 percent.
As a result of this decision, Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to continue to collect cash deposits equal to the applicable final weighted-average dumping rate.
In 2018, imports of carbon and alloy steel threaded rod from Taiwan were valued at an estimated $156 million.
The petitioner is Vulcan Threaded Products, Inc. (Pelham, AL).
